Trickyfish Day 2007?

Popslash - Trickyfish Smile

It's three months before February 2nd, which is, as you might remember, Trickyfish Day. For my part, I had a blast this year, and I'd love to repeat it. I did a quick poll in my own journal, but I'd like to hear you all's opinion if there should be another Trickyfish Day in 2007 and if you're willing to participate. Don't worry, this is not a sign-up or anything, and of course you can change your mind at any time. I just wouldn't want to sit there in February and have a drabble and a handful of icons, then I'd rather not celebrate it at all.

I'd like to celebrate Trickyfish Day in 2007.

I can contribute something.

I don't know yet

I'd love to hear any other input as well. Maybe we could organize a challenge or you have other ideas?

I think we totally should have a challenge. *nods*

I think people just need some ideas about what else they can contribute besides fic, since not everybody is a writer. When I was organizing JuC day many people said, I don't write fic, so I don't know what to do. So if somebody has some leftover ideas or wants somebody to help them with a project, maybe they could post about it here.

Can I recommend that it be something which can be accomplished reasonably quickly? I feel sure (koff) that most Trickyfish writers, at least, will be signing up for SeSa, which naturally will take up all of December, with the writing, angsting and reading... so we'll only have January for Trickyfish Day stuff.

And I haven't any ideas to offer for the moment, but something that can be interpreted in lots of ways is good for challenges. (My Dragons worked well, and I don't remember how much response the Lambs Day Southern Comfort challenge got, but that seemed reasonably flexible too.)

I don't even know if I'll participate in the challenge, because I've set myself Feb 2nd as the deadline for the story that is quietly eating my brain. In fact, I ought to be working on that right now...

I agree with rikes that there need to be an alternative for people that don't write, and with pensnest that the challenge can't be too complicated because of SeSa. I'll think on it some more and see if I can come up with some good ideas...
